Inspiration

As part of our work toward gender equality in Art music, ELNA will be gathering recommendations on pieces by women and non-binary composers from the Nordic countries. We thus hope to foster a productive climate of dialog and encouragement, where actors in the music sector can be inspired by each other’s enthusiasm for the music we love. The recommendations will be grouped by themes like ensemble type, historical period, country for origin or pieces suitable for specific teaching situations.

We are now happy to publish the first four collections of recommendations: from the team behind ELNA, from our Finnish and Norwegian working groups and from visitors to the 2024 Nordic Church Music Symposium in Copenhagen.
